What is Screen Printing?

Screen printing is one of the most popular and time-tested methods for printing designs on T-shirts. It involves creating a stencil (called a screen) and using it to apply layers of ink onto the shirt’s surface. Each color in the design is applied using a separate screen, which makes the process ideal for bold and vibrant graphics.

How It Works?

1. Design Preparation

Your design is separated into individual colors using graphic software. Each color will have its own screen.

2. Screen Creation

A mesh screen is coated with a light-sensitive emulsion. The design is transferred onto the screen using light exposure, hardening the emulsion in the areas not covered by the design.

3. Printing

Once the screen is ready, it’s placed on top of the T-shirt. Ink is then pushed through the open areas of the screen using a squeegee, applying the design to the fabric.

4. Curing

The printed T-shirt is run through a heat press or conveyor dryer to cure the ink, ensuring durability and wash resistance.
